Same time tomorrow?

Find a place.
Make it your usual.

It starts with something you feel like trying. A few visits later, you have a favorite order, a familiar window, and a place you keep telling your friends about.

  1. Before the detour

Check the location, service state and menu.

  2. After the first bite

Check in and put what you tried in your own order.

  3. Next time around

Find the visit, the memory, and the place worth returning to.

Good taste is personal.

Liked it or not great? Start with a reaction, then choose between places you tried. Give the idea a go here.

Which would you go back for?

How your ranking comes together

Your friends found it first.

  1. See where friends eat.

Find them by name and add them, then read their visits and rankings as they wrote them.

  2. Follow the trucks you like.

Your favorites stay together, a tap away.

  3. Know when they open.

When a truck you follow starts serving, it shows in your notifications in the app.

How friends’ visits look
A short clip from the Laff film about friends and the trucks you follow

A good find stays with you.

Photographs, visits and friends give a place its context. Look back through your Taste Passport and remember why that truck stayed with you.

The first visit

Tried something new. Kept a little record.

The outing outlasts the last bite.

A photograph, a little context and your preference give a visit somewhere to live.

You bring the food. Keep the rest clear.

Keep your menu clear and your location current, and see how the day went with tools that never pass off a missing update as a fact.

All the reading

Before you head out, check what’s actually open.

A location, opening hours and live service answer three different questions. Here is how to read them together.

All of help
What is Laff?

An app for food trucks. Find one that’s serving, check in when you visit, and rank the places you’ve tried by your own taste. Your friends’ visits and the trucks you follow sit alongside. Explore the app

Where does it work?

We’re starting with Riyadh. A truck shows as serving only while its own live update is current, so read its status before you head out. Riyadh trucks

Which phone do I need?

An iPhone or an Android phone, for the app: the map, check-in, ranking, your Taste Passport and friends’ visits live there. A truck’s page and its menu open in any browser, with no app.

What does it cost?

Nothing, if you’re eating. Finding trucks, following them and checking in are free, and you pay the truck at its window as usual. Orders paid in the app will carry a Laff fee, shown with its terms before you pay, and paying in the app isn’t open yet. A truck lists free as well, and paid plans for trucks open soon. Read pricing

How do I get it?

Laff is in a focused beta by invitation: on iPhone through TestFlight and on Android through Google Play testing. Email support@laffapp.com, say whether you eat at trucks or run one and which phone you use, and when a place opens the invitation link comes from us. If a friend sent you their invite code, keep it for when you sign up. How beta access works
